ABOUT The Healthy Home
There is a blindspot in the green building movement: the health impacts of home design and building materials. The Healthy Home empowers homeowners, designers, and builders to create home environments that support both human well-being and our planet.
Through education and structured frameworks, The Healthy Home is transforming the way homes are designed and built — from design, and construction practices, to material selection, and reducing electromagnetic radiation exposure.
Did you know:
40% of new builds in Australia have condensation and mould (Australian Building Codes Board, 2015).
47% of residential buildings in the USA have mould (National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health) decreasing home re-sale value by 20-37% (Appraisal Journal).
The Building Code of Australia regulate the health and environmental impacts of building materials, despite research showing that some “green” buildings contain the highest levels of formaldehyde, toluene, and xylenes(CSIRO, 2018).
Electrical standards in both Australia and the USA do not, do not account for the known health impacts of electromagnetic fields (EMF). Meanwhile, smart homes continue to increase indoor radiation exposure without proper safety regulations.
These issues are contributing to: Respiratory illnesses, insomnia, migraines, headaches, hormone imbalances, infertility, miscarriage, damage to DNA, birth defects, compromised immunity, inflammation, digestive dysfunction, Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (mould illness), diabetes, neurological disorders, and so much more.
Clients of The Healthy Home have experienced firsthand the devastating effects of mould, chemical exposure, and poor building design—in homes less than 10 years old.

She has attended Electromagnetic Radiation Specialist (EMRS) Training and Advanced EMRS Training in the USA (2023 & 2024), ensuring that The Healthy Home delivers the most cutting-edge insights in healthier home design.

The Healthy Home VISION
The Healthy Home vision is for every home to be designed and built with health in mind, using materials that enable us to thrive—without contributing to the destruction of our environment.
Modern homes should be built to stand for centuries, not decades. Building a home is an art form, not just a trade. The true value of a home isn’t in its size or luxury — it’s in how well it supports the health and well-being of the people who live in it.
Every person deserves the opportunity to live in a home that enhances their health, longevity, and quality of life. When we design and build with well-being as the foundation, we create a future where preventable illnesses decline, indoor environments support thriving communities, and homes become places of restoration, not harm.
Each of us has a role to play. The choices we make today will shape the homes — and health—of future generations.
Will you help bring this vision to life? Join us in leading the change.
